Provide data analysis and other project support for the Quest Diagnostics’ retirement programs, including our 401(k) plan, the Puerto Rico 1081 plan and two nonqualified executive deferral plans. This role will manage projects related to data integrity, annual / seasonal compliance tasks, mergers and acquisitions, and system testing and support. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of various savings plan requirements and proven ability to interpret laws, regulations and statutes regarding compliance and administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect, compile and compare data from a variety of sources, including the Oracle cloud platform, payroll outputs, and vendor reporting to ensure accuracy of all information across all plans.
Perform regular data reconciliations and analyze data for potential compliance risks.
Prepare reports for Centers of Excellence and senior leadership.
Based on metrics and analysis, make recommendations for process improvements.
Perform quarterly patch testing for plan interfaces and participate in other system updates and/or enhancements.
Serve as main contact for 5500 preparation, year-end testing and external financial plan audits.
Participate in acquisition efforts related to the merger of 401(k) plans, including detailed compliance reviews on those plans.
Research complex participant questions and plan issues.
Act as a liaison between employee and plan vendors on unique issues (e.g. eligibility, deductions, withdrawals & general plan provisions).
Partner closely with Payroll, the Centers of Excellence, third party vendors and other plan service providers (i.e., Fidelity Investments) as appropriate.
Work closely with both internal and external vendor partners to ensure files transmitted and received accurately and timely.
Review work in alignment with Company and HRSC controls.
At least 7 years of 401(k)/defined contribution retirement plans with strong knowledge of 401(k) plan requirements, compliance, funding reconciliations and routine plan operations.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience building and maintaining MS Access databases
Understands and can interpret laws, regulations and statutes regarding savings plans and administration.
Experience and understanding of Human Resource Information System benefit programs. Familiarity with HR systems, such as Oracle HCM Cloud, HR Reporting, Case Management, etc.
Previous experience working in Accounting, Payroll, and/or Human Resources preferred.
Familiarity with Fidelity Investments PSW system preferred.
Strong understanding of business processes and practices
Ability to think critically and analyze data trends to mitigate operational risk and improve efficiencies.
Ability to present and explain processes and reporting to diverse types of audiences
Ability to prepare and present consolidated and succinct reports for Senior Management level decisions
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations

Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, best practices, and legal and regulatory changes in retirement planning and administration.
